Making Movie Magic

Students will learn how to create a storyboard, shoot video, record sound and edit everything into a final video production. They will learn industry lingo like wide/medium/tight, bird's eye and worm's eye view, extreme closeup and continuity. Each student or team of students will write, direct, shoot and edit their own motion picture, and learn about the magic of movie making through editing, dubbing, transitions and effects. Finally, they will present their movie at a LimeLights Film Festival shortly after the class concludes!

Students must provide their own video camera. Some smart phones will be acceptable as video cameras at the instructor's discretion. A Mac or PC is required for editing. Editing software is free and available on both platforms, but subject to instructor approval.
